September 27th 2017 – pre-conference field trip
KRAKOW-CZĘSTOCHOWA UPLAND
The Kraków-Częstochowa Upland is the picturesque hilly region with many exposures of Jurassic limestones deposited in epicontinenatal sea. The majestic rocky forms, rocky valleys with cliffs and karst caves are here characteristic. This area is known from the medieval castles situated on the rocky tops.

PIENINY MTS. WITH DUNAJEC GORGE RAFTING

Pieniny Mts are considered particularly valuable geotourist Polish area with a long geological history and complicated architecture. They are a part the Pieniny Klippen Belt of the Carpathians Chain. They are mainly built of limestones and create impressive landscape, particularly surrounding the deep Dunajec valley.

* Filed trips will be organized for minimum 20 people
